Wolof Language Expert

Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• —Deliver expert-level translation and localization of diverse content between Wolof and English
• —Edit and proofread Wolof language materials for clarity, grammar, and cultural appropriateness
• —Write original content in Wolof, adhering to project requirements and style guidelines
• —Provide linguistic feedback to improve AI language models and training datasets
• —Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and engineers to meet quality and deadlines
• —Conduct quality assurance reviews to uphold accuracy and consistency

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• —Native or near-native proficiency in Wolof, with an in-depth understanding of idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances
• —Proven experience in editing, writing, and translating Wolof content
• —Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• —Strong written and verbal communication skills
• —Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• —Previous experience as an AI Trainer or similar role in language technology projects
• —Background in linguistics, translation studies, or related field
• —Experience working with cross-functional international teams
