Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert-level translation and localization of diverse content between Wolof and English
- Edit and proofread Wolof language materials for clarity, grammar, and cultural appropriateness
- Write original content in Wolof, adhering to project requirements and style guidelines
- Provide linguistic feedback to improve AI language models and training datasets
- Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and engineers to meet quality and deadlines
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to uphold accuracy and consistency
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Wolof, with an in-depth understanding of idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances
- Proven experience in editing, writing, and translating Wolof content
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an AI Trainer or similar role in language technology projects
- Background in linguistics, translation studies, or related field
- Experience working with cross-functional international teams
