Job Summary:

Join our customer’s team as a Linguistic Expert and play a pivotal role in analyzing, transcribing, and deconstructing English language content at an advanced level. You will leverage your native-level English proficiency to bring precision and insight to complex linguistic tasks while working in a collaborative, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• —Transcribe video content accurately, clearly marking detailed timestamps throughout each file.
• —Analyze and describe the emotional tone, intent, and delivery of speakers within the content.
• —Evaluate and provide insight into grammatical structures, syntax, and general language usage.
• —Define and explain nuanced conceptual aspects of English vocabulary and phrases as presented in media.
• —Perform advanced linguistic assessments, including tone, register, and contextual meaning.
• —Collaborate effectively within the team, ensuring consistency and quality in language-related deliverables.
• —Maintain high standards for both written and verbal communication throughout all work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• —Native-level proficiency in English, with superior written and verbal abilities.
• —Deep understanding of linguistic theory, grammar, and language analysis methods.
• —Proven experience in transcription, linguistic annotation, or similar language-focused roles.
• —Acute attention to detail and precision in transcribing and annotating audio-visual material.
• —Ability to accurately capture speaker emotion, grammar, and tone in a concise manner.
• —Strong organizational skills and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
• —Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
